Census Balancer
Online data quality is top of mind for marketing researchers
today. One of the key issues is the representativeness of online
samples and the potential for misleading research results. This
potential not only damages the credibility of marketing research,
but can also lead to flawed and costly business decisions.
MRSI's proprietary Census Balancer® provides the solution. We
believe a validated sampling plan is the foundation required for
quality marketing research. This technique produces a
demographically representative online sample which allows you to
eliminate concerns about skewed data and base your critical
business decisions on consistent, accurate research results.
Our Census Balancer technique balances survey invitations at the
access/click-through level and
over-invites lower response groups to achieve a representative
online sample. It's the survey before the survey in that the
technique asks demographic questions as part of a pre-survey before
the actual screener and survey are conducted. Questions
typically include gender, age, race, ethnicity, education, and
region.
MRSI's Census Balancer provides online research samples with a
demographic profile that's comparable to U.S. Census data or other
known demographic targets. To achieve these balanced online
samples, access to each survey is adjusted as needed to maintain
the balance required for key demographic groups.
The Census Balancer technique allows you to achieve accurate,
consistent online research results within and across pre-recruited
online panels. Plus, this approach provides results that are more
comparable to RDD telephone research than other sample balancing
techniques.
